Aevo Labs is dedicated to delivering digital studio experiences, creative showcases, and communication channels that are accessible, usable, and inclusive for every visitor, regardless of physical ability, sensory difference, or assistive technology.
01 Statement of Commitment
We believe that cutting-edge visual design, cinematic storytelling, and computational technology must be accompanied by rigorous accessibility standards. We continually assess, refactor, and refine our codebases to uphold digital accessibility as an essential pillar of studio craft rather than an afterthought.
Our accessibility roadmap covers desktop and mobile web experiences, interactive 3D viewports, regulatory consent modals, and all commercial inquiry touchpoints.
02 Standards & Target Conformance
To ensure a structured, verifiable approach, Aevo Labs builds its web interfaces in alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA conformance criteria, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
These guidelines define benchmarks across four fundamental principles:
- Perceivable: Content, contrast ratios, and structural elements are presentable to users in ways they can perceive.
- Operable: Navigation components, modals, and input controls are fully functional via keyboard alone.
- Understandable: Interface behavior is predictable, typography is legible, and instructions are concise.
- Robust: Markup conforms to modern semantic HTML5 specifications, compatible with current screen readers, browser engines, and assistive devices.
03 Implemented Technical Measures
Our production surfaces incorporate specific architectural accessibility measures:
1. Keyboard Operability & Focus Trapping: All interactive elements, including drawer menus, navigation breadcrumbs, and cookie preference panels, can be operated using standard keyboard commands (Tab, Shift+Tab, Space, Enter, Escape). Modals maintain strict focus traps that prevent keystroke leakage to underlying background layers.
2. Contrast & Fluid Typography: Text elements are styled with deliberate luminance separation against our flat near-black canvas, meeting or exceeding WCAG AA minimum contrast thresholds for standard text (4.5:1) and large headlines (3:1).
3. Motion Sensitivity: Respecting the prefers-reduced-motion: reduce user environment setting. Dynamic animations, camera lerp sequences, and transforms automatically deactivate or simplify for users sensitive to vestibular motion.
4. Semantic Structure: Clear hierarchical headings (h1, h2, h3), structured landmarks (main, nav, header, footer, aside), and descriptive ARIA roles (dialog, switch, alert) ensure seamless interpretation by screen readers.
5. Form Labels & Validation: Transmission forms feature programmatic label associations, clear input outlines, error states with accessible text announcements, and explicit consent checkboxes.
04 Technical Constraints & Alternates
While we strive for comprehensive coverage, certain creative experimental features may present constraints:
- Interactive 3D WebGL Models: Complex real-time 3D camera models rendered on HTML5 canvas elements cannot be directly interpreted by standard screen reading software. We provide parallel semantic descriptions and direct textual contact channels for identical content.
- Archival Commercial Video: Select legacy client commercials or montage reels may contain rapid visual edits or non-captioned background scores. Transcripts or commercial project breakdowns are available upon request.
